Today’s rich and famous aren’t necessarily wearing suits. Revamp your marketing strategy to get with the times.
Really interesting read. Great thoughts from Seth Godin included.

Politicalprof: So . . . →
politicalprof:
A month ago, Michele Bachmann was the hottest thing since Paris Hilton, and might well be elected president. Now, apparently she’s toast.
At the speed of the modern media cycle, which runs about 6 minutes per meme, I’m thinking we’re roughly 417 candidates away from coming up with a Republican…

Politicalprof: Jobs and Presidents →
politicalprof:
As we approach Obama’s “jobs speech,” it might be worth asking the question, “what, exactly, can a president do about jobs?”
The answer, perhaps unsurprisingly, is: very little.
As I’ve argued many times before in this series, presidents are constrained actors in the American political system….

RiverJam, Car Jam, Neck Jam...
A few things friend.
1) My Honda Element lost an epic battle with a Grand Cherokee yesterday. My Chevy HHR rental is pretty sweet though.
2) My neck is annoyingly sore.
3) I’ll be playing with the Stinsons at the RiverJam this Saturday from 3-9pm at the Greenville Town Commons…come on out!

I turned 30 this past weekend. It’s a humbling experience. As the day approached, I wasn’t exactly thrilled about it. Fortunately, I have amazing friends who made it a birthday I’ll never forget. There are several things I could blog about concerning my birthday, not limited to the following:
90s dance party mixes
Friends scatting
An infamous slap-heard-round-the-world

Just Listening In
Is eavesdropping bad?
Please say no. You can think yes, but say no. I’m totally hardcore eavesdropping at the moment. It’s a hobby. I’m sitting in Starbucks, and it’s unavoidable.
One guy (who I see in here a lot, but never speak to, which it turns out might be a good thing) he’s talking on his phone. Well, he’s shouting into his phone. The following...

Neil Diamond (& Picture Postcards)
Have you ever wanted to win 100 postcards? Yeah, probably not. But, think of the awesome possibilities of creativity you can express with 100 postcards.
Here’s what I would do:
My friend has this idea for a broadway musical. She totally gets credit for it, but I have to say I’ve got some great ideas to contribute. It’s crafted around the collected works of Mr. Neil...

Riding Pluto
Earlier this week a friend and I were discussing memories from our childhood. My earliest memory goes way back to 1983. I had only been bumbling around for about three years. My family lived in the woods; our house sitting at the end of a long steep driveway. The kind of driveway that obscures the house until you begin to crest the top of the hill.
Steep.
On this day, I was scooting along on...
